Course Details: Tooth autotransplantation remains an underutilized but highly
promising treatment modality, especially in pediatric and adolescent patients. This
full-day course aims to reintroduce this technique to the dental community by
exploring its biological foundations, surgical protocols, restorative considerations,
and interdisciplinary relevance. Through a combination of didactic lectures and
interactive case-based discussions, participants will gain the knowledge and
confidence to incorporate autotransplantation into comprehensive treatment
planning.

Goals for the Course:

  1. Comprehend the fundamental biological principles relevant to tooth
    autotransplantation, including aspects of craniofacial growth, pulp biology,
    periodontal ligament physiology, alveolar bone remodeling, and gingival healing.
  2. Distinguish between various surgical techniques for autotransplantation, with
    emphasis on appropriate case selection, timing, and the biological sequelae of
    healing.
  3. Understand restorative protocols following transplantation and the importance of
    achieving a harmonious emergence profile and long-term functional integration.
  4. Recognize the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly with
    orthodontists, in ensuring optimal outcomes.
  5. Appropriately identify indications and contraindications for autotransplantation and
    design comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.

Attendance Verification: Documentation of attendance will be issued, indicating five (5) hours presentation time.

Dr. Streblov received his degree in dentistry in 2003 from the First Medical Faculty Charles University, Prague. During his studies he spent two semesters at the University of Rostock, Germany. 2004 – 2010 he worked as a dentist in the Prague Dental Implant Centre (led by dr. Zábrodský) gradually focusing on interdisciplinary dental treatment. During this time he translated several textbooks for Quintessence Publishing serving as key translator for a wide variety of international speakers. In 2010 he co-founded the 3DK Dental Clinic in Prague with Dr. Martin Tomeček. He received certificates in Periodontology (2009, Czech Dental Chamber) and Implantology (2010, DGI – German Society for Implantology). Since 2010 he has presented numerous lectures and courses in the fields of periodontology, implantology, esthetics, interdisciplinary treatment, autotransplantation of teeth and healing of oral tissues on
national and international level. He authored and co-authored several articles and book chapters. In the years 2019 – 2020 Dr. Streblov had the honor to serve as the president of Czech Academy of Dental Esthetics during which time he was instrumental in launching a comprehensive CE program on aesthetics and interdisciplinary treatment planning. Since 2023 he has been studying a postgraduate program in Experimental surgery at the First Medical Faculty Charles University, Prague.
